Johnny, pastor of Eastwood Community Baptist Church, has recently been appointed the Regional Minister for the new Central River Region. His vision is for a region filled with healthy, thriving churches that serve all nations and generations.

Johnny believes that no single church can meet all the challenges of ministry alone, but together churches can create the conditions needed for long-term growth and reproduction. He holds a vision for the region centred on developing healthy churches that intentionally raise and equip leaders. By sharing opportunities, mentoring emerging leaders and connecting smaller churches with larger networks, churches can strengthen their leadership pipelines and prepare the next generation for ministry.

Healthy leadership development naturally leads to the multiplication of ministry, congregations and church-planting initiatives.

Relationships and trust form the foundations of effective collaboration in the Central River Region. As churches build stronger connections, they can share resources, learn from one another, and steward God’s gifts more strategically across the region. This cooperative approach enables churches to undertake ministry opportunities that would be difficult to achieve independently.

Through intentional partnership, shared resources, leadership development, and a commitment to church multiplication, Johnny hopes to see more churches planted, more leaders raised, and the kingdom of God grow across the Central River Region for the glory of Jesus Christ.
